The journey of our founders began during the lockdown in 2020 when one voluenteered for a prominent rescue organization. During this time, she gained extensive knowledge about these remarkable dogs and managed a public shelter under the rescue's guidance.
Motivated by her experiences, she along with our other founder, an animal lover and long time fosterer made a conscious decision to extend their support to smaller rescuers in Romania. In 2024, they officially established our sister rescue Strays To Stay Rescue with the sole purpose of aiding these overlooked rescuers.
We also work with some UK kennels to help strays and unwanted dogs!
Although we may be a small organization, our determination to assist those in need remains unwavering.
While doing this they saw that the love for Black Dogs lacked and was important that a voice was given to them! Black Dog was born!
